Course Objective: The student will complete the IRCA / RAB
/ IATCA educational requirements so that they may apply for credentials as
a quality systems auditor of the quality system for third parties. The Assessor
/ Lead Assessor Training program has been designed to provide the skills necessary
to perform third party audits and to update audit skills in manufacturing,
service and public service sectors. This course was developed to inform participants
of the mechanics and operation of third arty certification / registration
audits. The Assessor / Lead Assessor course is accredited by the International
Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA) and IATCA. A live audit is a requirement
for successful training and completion of this course.
Prerequisite: GED, High School and/or College
Duration of Course: 5 days. 40 contact hours are the minimum
required. Students should be prepared for extended hours beyond 40 hours as
well as the assignment of homework.
Course Description:
In-depth knowledge of the ISO 9000 series of standards
· Each element of the standard is reviewed in detail
· Interactive classroom style provides real-world illustrations and
examples
· Seasoned instructors share audit experiences relating to each element
of the standard
Team building activities
· Auditing is a team activity; interpersonal skills during interactive
syndicates are observed
· You are evaluated on your level of participation
Quality auditing: Purposes, audit cycle, preparation, performance,
conclusion of an audit
· Explore the purposes of auditing and types of audits
· Learn roles and responsibilities of auditors
· Plan and perform audits through instruction and role-play
· Participation in a live ISO9000 audit activity
· Test your knowledge in real situations to apply what you have learned
Auditor qualities; managing an audit program; auditor registration
· Understand personal qualifications for auditors
· Learn to manage audit programs
· Discover the path to auditor certification/registration
Examination
· Final exam verifies your ability to understand and apply the ISO
9000 standard, manage and perform audits, and to write findings in a clear
and understandable manner.

of Dublin Ireland.
